NVC students living at RTV are supported by a network of services across campus. These quick links make it easy to connect with key departments offering everything from academic advising to emergency support.
Basic Needs Center
The Basic Needs Center connects students with food support, hygiene items, and emergency housing referrals to help meet essential needs. Students can also get referrals to local resources for additional support. For more information, visit the Basic Needs Center in Room 1202 or call (707) 256-7347.
Counseling Services
NVC’s Counseling Services team provides academic, career, and personal counseling to help you build an academic plan, choose your major, and navigate challenges while in college. Visit the Counseling Center in Office 1339 or call (707) 256-7220 to schedule an appointment.
Disability support programs and services (dsps)
DSPS offers accessibility support and academic accommodations for students with disabilities. Services include note-taking assistance, extended time for exams, adaptive equipment, and more. Financial aid and scholarship office
The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office helps students apply for grants, loans, and scholarships to make college more affordable. Staff can guide you through the FAFSA process, scholarship applications, and other financial resources. Visit the office in Building 1100, Room 1132 or call (707) 256-7301.
Student Support Services (SSS) TRiO
Student Support Services (SSS) TRiO is a federally funded program designed to provide academic support to low-income, first generation, and students with disabilities to enhance their success in college. Students must apply, meet federal eligibility requirements and must have a goal of obtaining a certificate, and/or A.A./A.S. degree, and transferring to a four-year institution. Program participants will receive services that include: academic advising, transfer assistance, career guidance, tutorial assistance, financial and economic literacy, cultural and academic field trips. Students accepted into the SSS TRiO program are required to enroll in the Counseling 97 course: "Managing the College Experience". mesa/stem center
The MESA Program provides STEM-focused resources, peer support, and academic development for students planning to transfer to four-year universities in science, technology, engineering, or math majors. MESA is located in the STEM Center, Lower Level of the 1800 Building. Call (707) 256-7281 or visit their website for details.
Transfer center
The Transfer Center helps students plan their path to a four-year college or university. Services include application workshops, transfer fairs, campus tours, and one-on-one advising. Visit the Transfer Center in Building 1300, Room 1335 or call (707) 256-7333 for more information.
Mental Health Resources
NVC provides mental health resources and counseling services to support your overall well-being. Access wellness tools, therapy sessions, and 24/7 student support options.
