Accessibility and Disability Support

  • Housing Accessibility: Our residence halls include features like accessible entrances, adaptable units, and spaces designed to meet the diverse needs of students with mobility, sensory, or other accessibility needs.

  • DSPS Resources: Through Napa Valley College’s Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS), students can request academic accommodations and additional support that extend to housing. DSPS staff can help you navigate the process for any documentation and adjustments you may need.

  • Guidance and Advocacy: Students are encouraged to reach out early to discuss their housing needs. Our team works closely with DSPS to support individual requests and create an inclusive experience for everyone.

Inclusion and Safety

Creating a safe and inclusive community is central to the RTV experience. Here’s how we help ensure every resident feels respected and supported:

  • Resident Assistants (RAs) live on site and serve as trusted points of contact for safety, guidance, and community building. They’re trained to help resolve conflicts, answer questions, and connect you to campus resources.

  • Safety Features and Emergency Protocols: River Trail Village is equipped with secure building access, well-lit pathways, and clear emergency procedures so residents can feel at ease, day or night.

  • Policies on Conduct and Respect: NVC’s policies on discrimination, harassment, and student conduct apply within housing too. Clear guidelines help maintain a living space where everyone’s rights are upheld and diversity is embraced.
