When your basic needs are met, you can focus on your goals. Here’s how RTV residents can access affordable, reliable essentials every day:

  • On-Campus Dining and Food Support: Get free or low-cost groceries, hygiene products, and meal resources through the Basic Needs Center and on-campus dining options.

  • Nearby Grocery Options: Discover affordable grocery stores, markets, and restaurants within walking or biking distance.

The Basic Needs Center provides free food support for all currently enrolled Napa Valley College students. Located at Room 1202 (near the parking lot behind Bldg 1200). Make your appointment on PantrySoft to stop in. Registration will be verified at check-in. If you are new to the Basic Needs Center, contact us to learn more or drop in during our regular hours.
 

Napa County Food Pantries CANV distributes food to seven food pantries throughout Napa County. These food pantries are open to help on different days of the week and at various times during those days. 

Napa County Free Markets are designed to provide more fruits and vegetables to the Napa community regularly, occurring every Friday at various locations.

Food is Free Bay Area distributes food every week at several locations in Solano County.

Feeding America's Find Your Local Food Bank feature helps you find the food bank nearest to you based on your zip code.

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC)supplemental foods meet the special nutritional needs of eligible pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children up to 5 years old.

 

Transportation Resources

    • On-Campus Resources

      • Bus Passes at the Basic Needs Center are available FREE for students who need support accessing public transit via Vine Transit. Students can drop by the Basic Needs Center Room 1202 and schedule an appointment for Bus Passes via Pantry Soft and access either (3) single-ride passes every month OR (1) twenty-one ride pass every semester.

    • Off-Campus Resources
      • California's E-Bike Incentive Project provides up to $2,000 of point-of-sale incentives to support the purchase of a new electric bicycle (e-bike). 
      • Clipper Start provides single-ride discounts to eligible riders. Participants receive a 50% discount on various Bay Area transit systems including VINE, Bart, and Golden Gate Transit and Ferry and more. Must complete online application.
      • California’s Low Cost Auto (CLCA) Insurance program is a state-sponsored program that makes auto insurance affordable, helping you drive responsibly and legally.

 

Health and Wellness

Your well-being is a priority. River Trail Village connects you with health and wellness services designed to help you stay healthy and focused:

  • Mental Health Support: Access confidential services, including 24/7 support lines, the free Soluna app for students under 25, and on-campus counseling resources.

  • Student Health Center: Get virtual and in-person medical care right on campus, including general health services, wellness checks, and referrals for specialized care.
